New Arizona law…
New Arizona law: Pregnancy begins two weeks before conception!
Pregnant prior to sex – that’s what u call “Mary-envy”.
More Arizona Cops
Ahh, Arizona…
The state that wants to give the police more authority.
Seems the only way officer Patrick Larrison could handle a little girl was to slam her against the wall:
Video shows police officer slamming girl, 15

Not that the 15-year-old girl didn’t have an ass-whipping coming her way…
But I’m sure that having a 200 pound officer run up behind her when she isn’t looking and slam her into a wall (apparently knocking her unconscious) is a real good system.
Another Conservative Attack
As documented:
– A Conservative man in Tennessee crashed his car into another car that had a child inside – because it had an Obama bumper sticker.
– A man intercepted before shooting members of the ACLU in order to ‘start a revolution’ was in a shootout with the California highway patrol.
– Conservative Christians were arrested in March attempting to kill 2 police officers and then bomb the funeral held to honor them.
– Republicans show up at Democratic gatherings brandishing guns (legally, but clearly with the intent to intimidate and threaten).
– A Christian Conservative attacked and killed a doctor – during mass, shooting in church with women and children nearby.
– A man went into a liberal church (one that “allows” gay people to worship God) and started shooting during a childrens performance
– Over the past year, multiple people and groups nationwide have been destroying offices of elected officials, making threats on officials’ homes (not just their workplace, but where their families are. This is an attempt at terror), and even threatening their lives.
– Conservative pastors lead their churches in prayer for the death of President Obama and other Democrats.
– Conservative preachers teach that voting for a Democrat should repent or leave the church, some going as far as saying Democrats will be sent to hell. (Great message to teach kids in church. Probably similar to what conservative Islamic clerics teach about their opponents).
And today, they’ve opened fire on Democrat congresswomen Gabrielle Giffords, shooting her in the head. In the attack, the gunman also killed a nine-year-old child, an aide, and a federal judge who were attending her event. But to terrorists, that’s just part of the plan – collateral damage is irrelevant, even necessary. And of course, this occurred in where else…but good ole Arizona. What a shithole of a state.
Cheered on by rabid fear-mongers like Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh, conservatives continue to threaten Americans. Their gutless and ignorant attitude of “If you don’t agree with my viewpoint, you are my enemy, and I will harm you” is not entirely different from the attitude of the conservative muslim groups. Were these people living in the middle of a dessert in the Middle East, I would expect I would see them talking about jihad and where to attack innocent poeple to carry out their political agenda.
Gabrielle Giffords recently married Navy Commander Mark Kelly. Giffords was recently elected to her 3rd term and served in the Arizona House and Senate before going to Washington.
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona was shot in the head Saturday when an assailant opened fire outside a grocery store during a meeting with constituents, killing a 9-year-old boy and a federal judge and wounding several others in a rampage that rattled the nation.
Giffords was among at least 10 people wounded, and the hospital said her outlook was “optimistic” and that she was responding to commands from doctors. The hospital said a 9-year-old child was among the killed, and a U.S. Marshal said a federal judge was also fatally shot in the attack.
Giffords spokesman C.J. Karamargin said an unspecified number of her staff members were injured in the shooting. Congressional officials said an aide to the Democrat was killed, but few details were released about the staff members.
A San Francisco man upset with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s support of health care reform pleaded guilty to threatening the Democratic congresswoman and her family, calling her directly on March 25 and threatening to destroy her Northern California home if she voted for health care reform.
In July, a California man known for his anger over left-leaning politics engaged in a shootout with highway patrol officers after planning an attack on the ACLU and another nonprofit group. The man said he wanted to “start a revolution” by killing people at the ACLU and the Tides Foundation.
Giffords herself has drawn the ire of the right, especially for her support of the health care bill from politicians like Sarah Palin.

GOP Earmark Ban
From the “can’t change your stripes” department – today’s headlines:
PROMISES, PROMISES: GOP leader reaps $200 million
Senate Republicans’ ban on earmarks was short-lived
One Senate GOP leader reaps $200 million for his state
What earmark ban? GOP leader reaps $200 million
Only three days after GOP senators and senators-elect renounced earmarks, Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl [Arizona…of course Arizona], the No. 2 Senate Republican, got himself a whopping $200 million.
Kyl slipped the measure into a larger bill sought by President Barack Obama and passed by the Senate on Friday to settle claims by black farmers and American Indians against the federal government.
Kyl’s office insists the measure is not an earmark, and the House didn’t deem it one when it considered a version earlier this year. But it meets the you-know-it-when-you-see-it test, critics say. [Or the ‘If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck…’ test].
Under Senate rules, an earmark is a spending item inserted “primarily at the request of a senator” that goes “to an entity, or (is) targeted to a specific state.” Earmarking allows lawmakers to steer federal spending to pet projects in their states and districts. Earmarks take many forms, including road projects, improvements to home district military bases, sewer projects, economic development projects. A key trait is that they are projects that haven’t been sought by the administration in power.

Arizona – Good place to be a lawyer
That new law in Arizona on immigration (SB 1070) is generating a lot of business for lawyers. If you’re a lawyer, better consider getting an apartment in Arizona! Obviously any citizen who is wrongly held in jail is going to sue the state or county. There are several suits by civil rights groups already named against the state. But there’s more. Even the citizens and the Arizona cities are getting on the action to sue the state of Arizona:
The law enables citizens to sue their local law enforcement agencies if they feel the law is not being enforced.
and
Some municipalities in Arizona, including Flagstaff and Tuscon, are suing the state over the law.
and
The Wall St Journal reports the Department of Justice is likely to sue the state. CBS reports that police chiefs from across the US met recently with the DOJ to express their dissatisfaction with the Arizona law.
If Arizona enforces the law, they will face lawsuits from civil rights groups, cities, and citizens.
If Arizon does not enforce the law, they will face lawsuits from citizens.
That’s a lot of lawsuits! And more specifically, a lot of lawyer bills. I think the whole thing was designed by lawyers as a get-richer strategy (successfully).
I guess this law is going to generate a lot of new revenue for the state of Arizona? (I don’t think so). It seems like a pretty expensive risk for an immigration program that conservative think-tank Goldwater Institute says has had a negative effect on public safety.”
I’m curious to see how the voters respond when the local fired department cuts it staff. When the school their kids go to cuts programs and teachers. I’m curious how they’ll react when property taxes increase, and sales taxes increase.
But lawsuits aren’t the end of it: Multiple cities in other states are moving to cut off their economic ties with Arizona in protest. By the first week in May: “the state has lost between $6 million and $10 million in projected business revenue, with 23 group hotel bookings–from small meetings to large conventions–having been canceled in protest since the stroke of Brewer’s pen, according to the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association. (This in addition to calls for Major League Baseball to pull its 2011 All-Star Game from Phoenix, and a wave of criticism from the sports world.)”
And when you add to it the cops like Marcus Jackson who are employed by Arizona… I hope the taxpayers in Arizona are ready to start paying more to fund vacations and boats and summer houses for lawyers. Because the “Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhood Act” is really the “Support Our Lawyers Act“.
Good Ole Arizona Cops
Abel Moreno called 911 when a man began assaulting his girlfriend. He alleged [that] a Charlotte police officer was trying to fondle his girlfriend after a traffic stop. [The officer then arrested both of them].
Several things then happened. Five other women came forward to allege that the officer, identified as [a sack of shit named] Marcus Jackson, now 26, had tried to molest them, too. Moreno was released after investigators debunked the resisting arrest charge. So was his girlfriend.
Marcus Jackson was fired and faces 11 counts of sexual battery, extortion and interfering with emergency communication. Police Chief [For now] Rodney Monroe admitted that Jackson should never have been hired in the first place because of previous charges related to a restraining order filed by an ex-girlfriend. The local 911 system is under review because Moreno’s call wasn’t acted upon.

It’s not just Arizona cops. It’s everywhere. Check the local news in Dallas or Houston and you’ll see cops abusing minorities at every 4th traffic stop. That’s why you better be careful how much power you give police. This cop who felt he could do whatever he wanted – to the extent of groping/molesting women in front of their boyfriends.
Right now, conservatives may not really care since they’re only abusing/harassing minorities. But…most every projection has ‘white’ as a minority in the very near future (it’s already a majority-minority in several states). So the lesson is: Be careful turning a blind eye to cops who abuse minorities! There are scumbag cops (like Marcus Jackson) being employed by people who look the other way (like Rodney Monroe). And they’re in your city right now.
As for Abel Moreno – He was arrested as an illegal immigrant. Yes, he did the right thing in reporting the piece of shit, power-abusing, morally deprived law-enforcement official. Yes, this is why you have to be careful how much power you give cops and government agents – because cops abuse power.
